Living the Art Life™

Witching Bella Crafts Quarterly a Spooktacular Birthday Bash

bcq birthday halloween blog hop sponsor wide

Congratulations and Best Witches to Bella Crafts Quarterly who is turning ONE this month!   I was invited to play along the Bella Crafts Quarterly  birthday blog hop and you are all invited to celebrate with Bella Crafts Quarterly.

Bella Crafts Quarterly™ would like to thank our sponsors:

  • iLoveToCreate®
  • Spellbinders™
  • Rowlux®
  • Westcott®

I used this great stash of supplies to create a spooky Halloween shadow box to help decorate my home for October!

The frame was misted with Tattered Angels inks and dried first.

Then I sprayed Aleene’s Tacky Spray glue from iLoveToCreate through a stencil and added Tulip glitter for the distressed diamond pattern.   You can see how well that pattern shows up above on the scrolled frame.

To create the background, I was honestly surprised by how easily the Rowlux® film was to cut.   I cut it with the paper trimmer as well as cut and embossed the moon with the Spellbinders dies and Enhancing Elements.  You can see the embossing in the moon image above, but it shows even better in person.  The unique reflections of the Rowlux® film added a really great effect for my Halloween shadow box.  The Rowlux film also also took the ink and embossing quite well.  I embossed all the images on the Rowlux using Wow! Embossing Powders.

Don’t miss the glow-in the dark eyes in the bottom right corner, either!  Love these and put them everywhere for Halloween. I used these on my Hallowed Home canvas and wreath from last year.   They are gooey and everything sticks to them, but that adds to their charm, right?  I shared this on my Instagram feed.  If we aren’t connected on Instagram yet, just friend me!

All the products worked so well together, they were a perfect combination to create this Trick or Treat Shadow box.  It will look good in my foyer.

You can find more birthday wishes and some amazing projects at our party by visiting these links below.   But make sure you finish reading to the end of my post to find out not only how you can enter to win a prize (we all like the birthday goodie bags!) and get your copy the latest edition of Bella Crafts Quarterly.

Thanks, Lisa. The Rowlux definitely has some unique characteristics to it, doesn’t it? It was fun to think of different ways we could use it.
