Living the Art Life™

What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday?

by Cheryl 28 Comments

Sometimes crafty lulls can be good for us.  I think they give us the chance to think and to ponder what’s going on in our life.
………….
……..
…

And if that fails, it gives us plenty of time to surf the web for some new ideas and check out creations by some amazingly talented bloggers.   Needless to say, I did that for a few days this last week.  But, it was truly great inspiration for me.   While browsing through some blog hops, I did find one site that piqued my interest.   I found Stamping Ground where she hosts a WOYWW (What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday).  It was almost shameful for me to realize that I have a hidden voyeur inside me that LOVED peeking in on other crafters and seeing their desks, workspaces, and projects they are currently working on.   Nevertheless, not enough to stop me as I checked them all out and decided this might be fun to play along with.  So, today is my first posting for WOYWW.   This was also a perfect week.  My room right now is anything BUT neat and tidy.  I have been doing quite well at keeping it organized and fairly neat, but when I’m really “into the zone”, I’m all over the place and may have a few things going at one time.

This is my main desk and workspace.
I am working on an idea journal and am using a lot of Tim Holtz stamps in my journal, so I was pulling out all of stamps to decide which ones I wanted to use where.   A little grungeboard to the right and a Prima Rose to the left that was misted and is drying.  Oh, and a peak at the DT stuff I have to work with for my LSS under the grungeboard and under the glass table top.
This is usually my folding fabric cutting table.
I needed some extra space for all my misted pages to dry.
And this is the wall counter behind my desk that comes in so handy for extra space and is probably my most used stamping area now.

Again, total chaos, but I was misting and binding and stamping here.
If you look closely enough, you’ll see I have a glass of wine at one desk and a glass of sweet tea on the other.  Yes, I was drinking both.   It was one of those days….OK, heck, it’s one of those weeks.
Well, I am almost done with my book, so check back later for the finished project.   If you have any questions about my room or workspace, please don’t hesitate to ask.   Hope you enjoyed the peek to see What’s on My Workdesk Wednesday.
Make sure to visit the Stamping Ground so that you can see the rest of the workdesks covered in crafty projects.   Maybe mine will be cleaner (but with some project in the works) next week because I do hope to play again.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cher~
