I’m enjoying my Imagine even more now that I actually have time to play with it. I made these placecards for my Thanksgiving dinner and really appreciated the fact that I was able to color coordinate everything at once without digging through various shades of cardstock. I still love my cardstock, but this sure helps to throw a project together really quick.
I used the Cricut Thanksgiving seasonal cartridge along with Imagine More cartridge for these cards. I chose the folding card shape from Thanksgiving and sized it down to 4″ (2″ tall when folded). I chose a really pretty distressed damask type pattern from Imagine More to fill this shape.
I chose the lady and man pilgirm and cut these at 3.3 and 3.5 respectively. I chose colors that coordinated with my chosen card pattern. So simple. It was nice to have both pieces ready to go and I was able to increase the quantity and have it all cut at once.
I decided to emboss the apron and collar for my lady pilgrim. I used the Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons folder for the apron and laid them across sideways. For the collar, I used the Herringbone folder and set the collars in place so that the point was hitting the center top of each. I left the male pilgrim plain. I then glued my pilgrim layers together.
I used Just Rite stamps with a clear acrylic block and Brayton 25 point to line up my names and stamped these on the rectangle side of the card with Memento Rich Cocoa. Cards were folded and pilgrims were placed on the cards with little dimensional tabs.
They are all complete and ready to go for Thursday. I can’t wait to set the table. I love setting a formal table.

These are just too cute. I wish I had them last year as we set a formal dinner with my china, stemware and gold flatware. Oh it would have looked perfect in that setting!
This year we are going informal and using holiday paper plates as no one wants to clean up afterward the meal. The men offered and provided these plates! So us ladies are going to have a crafting party with the grandchildren while they are putting everthing away. Boy did times change this year!
