I’ve been playing with the Superman cartridge for a few weeks now. Doesn’t this look like all the great fixins for a young boy’s birthday party? Well, this is for my young man’s birthday party. Though my guy is turning 39 today. Here is my guy. Happy Birthday, honey!
I created all these party supplies for his office party. This cartridge has some great 3D items. I made everyone in his immediate office a set of Clark Kent glasses.
as well as Daily Planet Press Passes
I’ve left the names blank so they can fill in their desired titles and signatures.
I bought this cartridge just for DH. He wanted a vinyl Superman logo for a window behind his head in his office. I found a great place for vinyl – http://www.expressionsvinyl.com/ and was, therefore, able to buy a few different colors; just perfect for such a project and I’m so glad to get it at such a great price, because I’m not sure when I’ll use yellow again. The great thing is that you can buy just one piece, rather than two from http://www.expressionsvinyl.com/. I’ll update with another pic after it is installed.
Capes, capes and more capes. You’ll notice that the banner up above was created using capes and here is a little door hanger for his office door.
Finally, here is the card I created. Superman was a ‘lot’ of fun to assemble. 😉 However, I find that even with these great layered character images, a little shading with my Copic markers and a few (I might have used just a tad too many for this) highlights really make a big difference. I had to add just a bit of bling here. I created it originally to give it the comic strip look, but it was just too plain for me, so a few jewels to brighten it really helped. Superman was popped up just a little with small dimensional squares.
He is so excited about his office party supplies! I hope they all have fun. I can’t wait to update with pictures of everyone with their glasses and press passes. Again, Happy Birthday, Babe!
Thanks for stopping by again today.

Hello Miriam, I used the Cricut Superman cartridge to cut all the Superman-themed party favors. The glasses are on that cartridge. You might want to print out a sample first, to determine the best size for your son’s birthday party. Hope he has a fabulous birthday. Let me know if you do a superman-themed party. I’d love to share pics of your party on my FB Fan page at Cheryl’s Window.

Cheryl, thank you SO much for the ideas and the heads up on expressionsvinyl.com … what a find! I needed a lot of different colors to decorate the walls in my grandkids’ toy room but was getting discouraged to think I’d have to spend so much on just a few colors. Now I have such a variety and their room is going to turn out so cute!
