It’s time for the 28th Sassies to reveal their takes on Sassy Lil’s Sketches. This is the fresh little sketch provided for this month. I love the combo of circles and squares, but found a way to add my own little slant.
I just made a big tree of ornaments out of this sketch and even added a big bow topper!
One of our sponsors at Sassy Lil’ Sketches this month is Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy has a variety of wonderful vintage digital images that can be used in so many different ways. She provided our DTs with a few images to use if we could for July. I thought this little bird was so sweet and had some other close-up ornament pics and decided to use one of her images as an actual photo in my layout. I printed it on photo paper and loved the way it came out. The paper is all Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. The ornament shapes were cut using my Gypsy, my Cricut, and Joys of the Season Cartridge.
For a few of the ornaments, I welded two together to make a place for some hidden journaling.
I sized them all at 1.5″ so they could fit a few behind a few T!m Holtz Ornament Fragments. The top of die-cut ornament sticks out just a little, but I didn’t mind. It still looks great on the layout and the fragment provided a little dimension and extra texture.
Now, what can you do with this sketch? Make sure to visit Sassy Lil’ Sketches and share your creations with us for a chance to win one of two gifts this month sponsored by Peggy Loves Vintage and Snobby Walrus.
Thanks for stopping by.
