Living the Art Life™

New Look in my Playroom

by Cheryl 6 Comments

Here is my updated and improved scraproom as well as my first video!  Woo hoo.   Please take a moment to check it out and give me some feedback.  I also created a YouTube Channel if you want to see it HERE.  If I do some tutorials, the camera will be on a tripod so there won’t be as much jiggle, but at least I have learned how to take the video, edit, upload and embed the darn thing!   I sure didn’t think it would take all day, but I learned something new today.

The craft desk and counter top are the new items as well as a few baskets in my IKEA Expedit shelves.   Oh, and the Pink Cricut is new!  Everything else was either rearranged or repurposed.   The room is not 100% complete yet.  I still have a few things to organize and clean up and I want to put some vinyl decor on the walls and use vinyl to label my drawers and organizers.   Can’t wait to do that.   I have way too many ideas and projects in my head right now and really need to be getting some of them out and finished.  🙂   However, right now I am loving the layout of the room and the new horizontal spaces I have!

Here are some still pics of the room.

This is my new IKEA desk.  I absolutely love it!  Nice and clean and a little artsy!
This is the new counter top behind my craftdesk.   It was a prefab 8′ counter from Lowes.   We paid $82 for it and it is just sitting on top of the Jetmaxx cubes.   Joly will drill me a few holes for my power cords to come up through and will mount it to the back of the wall later.
This is my Cutting Center.   Cricut, Dreamkuts, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders, etc.   And more IKEA organizers.   I had these organizers already in place.
I also mentioned in my video that I would share how I organize my Cricut Cartridges.   I found the idea on the Cricut Messageboard and it was created by Shannon over at Splatter Pattern.   I tried a few different ways of storing these also and truly found her idea to work best for me.   HERE is a direct link to her instructions.
So, thanks for stopping by today.   Please leave some comments here and take a look at my YouTube channel.   If this works out well, I’ll try to start doing a few more videos and even a few tutorials.   If you’d like to see something in particular, you’ve got to let me know.
Cher~

AWESOME! 🙂 The room looks so good. It flows much better now. I love the table with the glass on top and the shelf under it, so cool. You’ve been busy.
