I’m finally getting around to editing photos and posting some pictures, so hopefully I can share a little more this week. We’ll see. Please be patient with me though, because this next few weeks will be very busy for me. Hopefully, I will be a better blogger after June 1st. My little baby girl will be turning 17 next week and dh and I will be celebrating our anniversary. We’re actually going to celebrate and spend a few days alone and away from home. 🙂
So, for my post today, I’m finally sharing my Mother’s Day card to my Mom. The card above is the the one I created. I used Papertrey Ink’s Beautiful Blooms II and their coordinating dies to cut out the blooms. Hibiscus paper and ink. I LOVE how this finally came out. Here are some details.
After stamping the blossoms, I cut them using the coordinating dies and my Big Shot. I embossed my brad with pink embossing Zing powder. And during this, my heat gun just DIED. I must get another one this week. I use mine ALL the time, so please let me know if you have any great suggestions.
The inside of the card was printed on regular cardstock and then I used my Nestabilities Labels I to cut out sentiment and coordinating cardstock. One layer blossom die was also added for a little embellie on the inside.
The gift is a little mini album made from cardstock, Basic Grey Green at Heart patterned papers, and an Orbitz gum wrapper. I totally got this from Laura at www.followingthepapertrail.com. She has some amazing mini albums and does a live UStream class on Friday nights. This came out so much cuter than I thought it would have and was a real joy to create. Now my mom can carry a mini album of her grandkids on her keyring. The card is a 5 x 7 card. So here you can see them together for size comparison. It is way teeny and so cute.
How adorable is this? I used magnets to keep the wrapper closed and covered them with little flower stickers.
The little tags and ribbon can pull out some for better viewing.
I kept the embellies simple without too much dimension so that I could fit in 8 grandkids on their own little tag.
Thanks for stopping by and looking today.
