I miss my annual road trips where I’d load up my car and Glinda, and we’d hit the road traveling to art stores, studios, and local scrapbook stores to teach different art classes. Unfortunately, many of those stores have now closed, and let’s be honest, I’m getting older with each pass around the sun.
I love teaching. To give someone the gift of creativity is my drug of choice. I love seeing someone’s face light up when they are proud of something they’ve created and to know they now feel more confident to continue creating after I’ve left.
So what is a girl to do but start an online school. Introducing, Learning the Art Life where Art is a part of life. I’ll confess I did attempt to launch this a few years back, but I never got it off the ground as I was busy working for others. This time, I focused on my business, and I brought on a few friends. This is a win-win because I can’t teach watercolor, nor do I want to; that is not my medium of choice. But I know a good friend who can!
As a matter of fact, I have many artist friends who are renowned leaders in our industry. I asked a few of them to join me in offering a variety of classes to you…with more to come. We have mixed media, faith journaling, watercolor, fabric, and more. I hope that as we grow, I can bring on more teachers to provide a little something for every creative.
I hope you will take a look at the classes being offered. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter list for Learning the Art Life (you can find the subscribe info at the bottom of the homepage) so you will be notified of new classes or class sales we may offer. (PS..until March 12, 2023 take advantage of current early-bird specials)
