I’m Officially Sassy

I am so excited to share with you that I have been selected to be on the first Design Team for Sassy Lil’ Sketches.  This group of sassy scrappers will have a great time showing ways to use different Sassy Sketches.   Cherie and Katie are the co-owners and each week they will present a different sketch challenge and examples provided by their teams.   These will always be on the 7, 14, 21, and 28.   I’m part of the team for the 28th.   So make sure to check out the new blog and become a follower so that you can come back on those dates and participate with these sketch challenges with me and the rest of the sassy gals.  This has just been a really great week for me and while I am so very excited, I am starting to get just a tad nervous.   So, please help cheer me on as well as all the other talented gals out there. 

Above is one of my entries submitted based on one of their sketches provided for the Design Team challenge.

I stayed rather true to this sketch especially due to the way it balanced out on the page. Isn’t this an awesome sketch?  It was a striking sketch to me right away so I pulled out some striking pics of my dear daughter, Sage.   Sage is in full swing teen mode now, but she loves to still play dress up and spends hours…(ask any of her friends) putting on make-up and playing with different eye looks.   Here are some of her favs.  
This page just could not photograph well.   I tried all sorts of lighting angles, diffusers, backgrounds, etc, but I’m still not a pro photographer.   This page has a lot of shimmer and bling and metallic sheen to the background.   The Pink Paislee glitter letters kind of get lost on the photograph, but stand out much better in person.  Part of this was intentional, as I wanted the greatest focus to be on her eyes not the title.  
Here are a few closer peeks. 
At this angle, the word “eyes” pops out a little better on camera.
Some Pink Paislee chipboard swirls, a little cut out from my Cricut and a little charm give this a little funky detail.
