I found a great inspiration/challenge blog just recently and I’ve decided to play along. The blog is Daisy Yellow and the challenge is an Index Card a Day challenge. This is the second time she’s done this challenge, so this one will be referred to as ICAD2. I think I can commit to one 3×5 index card each day, don’t you? I’d love for you to join us and help keep me accountable. I feel like I’ve needed an extra creative spark the last few weeks and I hope this will help. I can take these and a few pens anywhere I go, so why not.
The prompt today was the word map. I used my new Gelli plate (thank you, Jackie) to create a random background with acrylic paint and then toned it down with a little white Faber-Castell gelato. I used my Faber-Castell pens and started writing random words that came to my mind with the map prompt. I actually think I’m lost right now and not sure which direction to go or which direction I ‘should’ be going. Can you tell?
I’m trying to find a way to link my cards in a sidebar slideshow. I’ll let you know if that works out, because none of the widgets right now seem to work for this.
Please leave me a comment and let me know if you decide to join us at ICAD2. Thanks for stopping by today,

I love gelatin printing. I’ve been thinking of buying a gelli plate so I don’t have to make gelatin from scratch every time.

Hi, I joined in today also after just hearing about it. I like how you interpreted the word map. Love the arrows border, kind of like going in circles like the globe.

Oh, good. This is my first time participating with icad, so I’m looking forward to it. It was funny that map was a prompt word; I’ve been feeling a little lost in my career the last 2 weeks, but today was a good day.

That is fine, Martha. You can jump in at any time. And it’s just a little 3×5 card. I KNOW you can do that.
