Today was a busy day in my craft room.
Sage and I made a Father’s Day card for Joly. I love the way this one turned out. I had been playing with the design in my head for two days. Finally decided to make it as another Joy Fold card.
Sage and Joly have been having fun playing Guitar Hero lately. So, I used the Indie Art cartridge and made this fun guitar. The stars were dressed up a little with my black Spica pen. I find myself reaching for those little glitter pends much more than I thought I would. We also made him a box cut from the matchbox with Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cut with my Cricut. Sage made some ‘coupon cards’ for him to redeem and put them in the box. I fell in love with this paper. It is American Craft Elegant Patterned Paper. It doesn’t photograph as well, but there is a lot a bling on this male card.
Then I used some of the same paper line to make a card for my Daddy! I cut the letters this time with SCAL using Freedom 9 font.
And then finally, since I wasn’t back in my crafting mode during Mother’s Day, I made a sweet little card for my Mom. This one took a while as I colored the stamped image with my Copic markers. I am feeling much more confident with my shading.
These are great. I love the new blog look too! Wonderful coloring with the markers. That would be difficult for me.
I love seeing all your work. The card for Joly is just rockin’. Lawanda is right, he will love it.
I really like the stamp for your Mom’s card. Very pretty and the colors are so rich.
Could you do me a favor and post a link for some of the products you use? 🙂
Joly is going to love it.
