Today is the reveal day for the 28th Sassies from Sassy Lil’ Sketches.
This is the sketch used for inspiration.
I used papers from my Scarlet Lime kit again (have I told you this is an awesome kit?). These were by Crate Paper and were from the Paper Doll Collection as well as some Sophie papers. A little T!m Holtz metal thown in. Add a touch of fabric trim and Thickers and we’ve got a layout. (I need to start keeping a better list of each manufacturer and the product I use and start creating a recipe card).
I added zig-zag stitching throughout. I also liked this little touch of stamping I did. I used a big foam stamp from CK that I had and stamped part on the picture and part on the paper using Distress Ink and I liked the effect.
Now, see that little baby on the screen porch? That is my Momma being held by her Uncle Charles (my great uncle). I love these photos and am so glad I now get to put some stories with some of them and document them for my future generations.
I was also really excited to use this wax twine. I’ve had this for years and just haven’t found a good use for it and don’t know why I ever picked it up. Anyway, the color and texture was perfect for this layout.
So, wasn’t this a great sketch? Why not see what you can do with this sketch and share it with us as Sassy Lil’ Sketches to be entered in for a monthly prize!!
Hope you enjoyed your visit with me today. Thanks for stopping by to see me.
I don’t know how but I missed this gorgeos layout! Wow and the journaling box is wonderful but look at that photo! You did it justice with the colors and layout. TFS
Very nice layout you did a nice job tfs!!!
Love the colors you used in this layout and I especially like all the little touches – page tucked away behind the journaling and the ties on the ends of the journaling block. My KC lifted your idea of the ties on a tag book she just finished.
Great page! I love the photo and the ruffled lace 🙂 x
Love all the distressing and all your wonderful little touches! Great take on that Sassy Lil’ Sketch!
