Living the Art Life™

Go Ahead and “MILK IT”

by Cheryl 9 Comments

Here is a cute little card I put together. Have you ever had a friend that either was sick or just had surgery and was not taking it easy and letting others help them? This is a great card for that friend.   I made it with Country Life.  This cartridge has some really cute images.   I can’t wait to make time to play more with it.  I also cannot wait for my Imagine to play with some of these layered characters.  I’m going to try to remake this one with the Imagine to see the difference.   I love some of the characters found on many Cricut cartridges, but those bitty layered pieces can be difficult to cut and/or apply.  I have found that for faces, hands, eyes, etc, it is easier to just print on white paper and color with my Copic markers.   Here, I colored her face and hands with Copics as well as the cow’s hoofs, horns, udder, and eye and the milk bucket.   I also still like to add just a hint of shadowing with my Copic markers to many of my cuts and will continue to do so.

I left the inside blank so that I can personalize it later.  This is for my card stash, which I need to really build up.   I had no one in mind when I made it.  I used Basic Grey’s Nook and Pantry collection for this card and also added a little Antique Linen Distress Inks on edges of inside card.  Cardstock is Bazzill.

To enhance the title, I used Rangers new White Enamel.  I love the milky look this gave me.  This does take a little bit to dry, but no too long.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.
