I never seem to have enough time to blog the way I want to and find time to create as well as all the other jobs I do as an individual artist/designer. Nevertheless, here is a picture of one of my new canvases that was on display in an exhibit this last month. I was inspired by Mary Beth Shaw and her luscious layering techniques. This piece is now back in my studio and available for purchase. It was fun to play building layers and a variety of tints and shades using only 3 colors plus black and white. Have you tried to limit yourself to a minimum color palette lately? It was very good play time for me and inspired many other ideas.

this is wonderful – i love getting taken away in to the circles, colors and textures. I identify with everything you say – limiting your palet to not enough time to blog and create…always feeling torn that my time is being used up infront of the computer! But there are some wonderful and inspiring places to go online!

Thank you, Lisa. I can definitely get lost in the computer trying to take care of the marketing, social stuff, and wonderful places for inspiration. I’ve been trying to take one day where I never turn the computer on (though I’ll admit I still have my phone lol), and it has been fun making more time to create.
