I finally finished organizing my ribbon stash! Woo hoo. I posted a while back that I had ordered Ribbon Rings for my ribbons. I was tired of forgetting to use ribbon for lack of not seeing it or hoarding my best ribbon because I couldn’t remember how much I had. When I went to the Summer CHA, I found Ribbon Ring. I then looked for a way to display them without taking up a whole wall space. I had taken down the old bifold closet doors in my craft room and didn’t really like it open showing all the chaos inside. So, I decided to put up a shower curtain and found some really great shower curtain rings. These have a post on each side, with the intent of holding a pretty curtain and a liner. I used them to hold a simple fabric curtain on one side and my ribbon rings on the front!
I then tried to organize all the ribbons mostly by color type. I did separate my PaperTrey ink ribbon on its own. I also realize it is so much prettier when it is smoothed and ironed, but I’ll confess I’m too lazy to iron all this ribbon. Here are some pics of the whole look. It looks rather sloppy in the photos, but actually looks much prettier in person.
I also took the time to take pictures of the cards I made earlier in the week with my friend LaWanda. We made these cards at her mom’s house. Her mom, Evelyn, was a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator and has many Stampin’ Up stamps and supplies, so most of these are made with Stampin’ Up supplies. I also scraplifted a card design for the four cards you see below. She had made one with the black, white, and red and I loved the look. Here are my altered versions. The top gray or black was embossed with Cuttlebug folders and a little ribbon and ink dress it all up. I even stamped a sentiment inside on most of these!
I made one other as a 5 x 7 card and played with learning how to better apply Flower Soft. This one used Autumn Flower Soft. I learned the lesson that “less is more” with Flower Soft and the glue applied. I inked the edges and again embossed the bottom cardstock with Cuttlebug’s forest embossing folder. Click on any of these pics for a closer look.
Doesn’t it just look like glorious Autumn with these colors? I just wish we had some of this color in Florida. It is still so hot here and I really need to start doing some work in my garden and some holiday planning, but can’t seem to get in the mood or motivated to go out in this heat to pull weeds.
Thanks for stopping by and looking today!

I LOVE the Autumn card!
I can’t believe you didn’t want to iron all your ribbons! 🙂
