I’m so excited that one of my pieces was juried into the Backus Museum Annual “Best of the Best” show. Hundreds of entries were submitted and the jurors chose 125 pieces of varying media; watercolor, oils, jewelry, acrylic, pastels, and yes, encaustics! Yes, those blue cushions need to go. They are old, worn, and NOT going to work with my color palette. Each year, Art Mundo celebrates their largest fundraiser, Calendart. Each artist submits one original work of art 5 x 7. Each work is juried and 36 artists are selected. This year, my submission was selected. Once you are selected as a Calendartist, you are then required to submit 12 more pieces of original artwork, 5×7, representative of your original submission.
