How fitting that I should announce the winner of Debbie’s Birthday Blog Hop while sharing a new Birthday card with you. But you have to look at my card first. 🙂
First, here is a card that I made. This is for a young lady that turns 20 today and is bananas for monkeys. And yes, I took the picture with the light streaming through the window blinds on purpose; I thought it added to the jungle look and I liked it.
The images all came from Create A Critter. The card is 5 x 6 and I cut all the layers for the monkey at 4″. I cut the vines to layer on my card and mats. I inked all the edges of my mats as well as the vines and a little on the monkey. I also used just a tad of chalk for the cheeks of the monkey and put some glossy accents on his eyes and nose.
The sentiment on the front of the card is from Papertrey Ink’s Handwritten notes and the sentiment on the inside is Papertrey Ink’s Signature Greetings. The sentiments were stamped using Memento Cocoa Brown. The banana is a feltie from Sassafras fruity family.
