This is my layout for the 28th Sassies Sketch for Sassy Lil’ Sketches. I have to admit that, for some reason, I struggled with this sketch, but absolutely love how my layout came together and it might be one of my favs. Of course, it helps that I have that gorgeous picture of my daughter dominating the layout, but there were other elements that really made this fun.
This is the sketch I had to inspire me. I chose some beautiful Prima papers from the Fairy Floral Collection and some Basic Bazill white carstock to create my background. The photo was a picture I took of Sage at the beach and then edited B&W with a chocolate filter. Loved how that turned out.
I played with my Glimmer Mists in Fairy Garden, Caribbean Blue, Cherry Blossom, and Coral Reef and misted the Tim Holtz Ribbons that are layered on paper borders from Girls Paperie and Crate Paper.
I added the title using Prima Chipboard Alphas from Caliope Collection and American Crafts Dear Lizzy glitter foam letters as well as some AC mini marks rub-on alphas. I stacked some of the large Prima Chipboad using some foam tape under to provide height and dimension to the title. Topped it all off with some Prima Bling, Prima Butterflies, and a few Webster Sparkles. I didn’t realize my layout was mostl Prima until now! LOL I am finding that I am really drawn to many Prima Papers.
I hope you will join us at Sassy Lil’ Sketches and participate with this sketch challenge as well. Please let me know if you do. We’ve got some great sponsors and some great prizes to give away. Just link your layout based on any of this month’s sketches.
Sassy Lil’ Sketches also has a sketch card blog now. Sassy Lil’ Sketches Cards. Their first card sketch will debut February 7th, so make a note now and become a follower so you can be reminded.
